Amy Rose is a fictional pink hedgehog from SEGA's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. She debuted in Sonic CD (1993) as Sonic's 8-year-old self-appointed girlfriend and was later redesigned and aged up to 12 for Sonic Adventurein 1998. Her trademark is the Piko Piko Hammer, a massive yellow-and-red mallet she can summon out of thin air — and which she happily uses to settle arguments with Dr. Eggman, Metal Sonic, and the occasional grumpy badnik.
